Remembering the Measles

Remote beach, two families, six children.
Staying in shearers' quarters.
All down with measles.
Our own ward at a small local hospital.

Gorgeous. Reminds me of 'an old house in Paris, that was covered in vines' and the 'twelve little girls, in two straight lines'.

if this was true, sounds nightmarish to me.

True; I don't remember much [will consult]. Our dad was a doctor and there was help, but I suppose that was the end of the holiday.

I love this one!

Of course we were not all at the same stage, so this exaggerates.
My brother remembers feeling bad and being very shaky when out of bed and he doesn't remember the other family being in the room; could they have been elsewhere? Anticlimax, sorry.

Well of course they were, silly!
I meant, in the hospital.
Apparently our Dad was hardly present having to work, as is the way of it.
