This is like a blanket with secrets - how did you make this? what is the lovely yarn, the stitches are so lovely. Not sure about the bedsock for both feet, how does that work?
It's all a bit of a joke Mim. I don't really want to knit properly, but in the winter sometimes have a'blanket' on the go, in this case buying the prettiest fine wool I could find. I knitted each skein until it was finished and joined them up somehow, tying off the long edging pieces at the corners and adding buttons, net and ribbons to decorate. Different patterns developed from accidents such as dropped stitches. It's not very practical! Stuff both feet into that opening, it stretches wide. A bit more to show yet.

This looks like it could also be a sort of elegant cat collar. :-)
I am really impressed with your knitted work!
